KFB Foodie Talk: How to make Peri Peri Grilled Wings

For our newbies, the KFB foodie talk column - handled by Dobby of Dobbysignature -  is basically for ladies and 'guys' that are interested in learning how to cook better.


Seasoning protein such as chicken, beef or fish with simply salt and pepper could be really nice on it's own but when you need something a bit more flavorful, you could simply bump up the flavors with other interesting seasonings such as yaji seasoning or peri peri sauce and your protein marinades would never remain the same again.Peri peri grilled wings is a tasty grilled chicken recipe spiked with an equally hot and spicy rub; peri peri sauce. It's quite easy to adapt to just one way of preparing chicken so here's another exciting way to prepare chicken.

How to make peri peri grilled wings
• Prep time:
30 minutes
• Cook time:12 minutes
• Total time: 42 minutes
• Level:        Easy
Ingredients:::
• 5 pieces of chicken (i used chicken wings)
• 1 tbsp. peri peri sauce
• 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
• Salt to taste
To glaze - Optional
• 1 tbsp. honey
• 1 tsp. sesame seeds



Directions:::
Step 1: Rinse the chicken, drain off the water and place the chicken in a mixing bowl. Add the peri peri sauce, salt and oil the mix to combine everything together. Place this in a refrigerator and leave to sit for about 30 minutes.
Step 2: Preheat the grill to medium heat. Place the chicken on the grilling rack and grill for 5-6 minutes on each side depending on the size of the chicken. This is to ensure the meat is properly cooked.
Step 3: Remove from the grill and serve alone or with any dish.
