How a Lagos hotelier turned an innocent job seeker into a sex worker

More details emerge on the Osun auto crash that killed five Federal Government Girls School, students and a couple

Last night we published the sad story of how some federal government girls school students died in a Lorry crash (HERE)...
Now we have got the full details.

Punch Newspaper reports it thus:

A couple and five other persons were among those who were burnt to death in an accident along the Gbongan-Ibadan Road in Osun State.

This is just as four pupils of the Federal Government Girls College, Oyo, Oyo State, and a driver were crushed to death in an accident that occurred a few kilometres to the school gate.
The Osun State auto crash involved a Toyota Sienna and an 18-seater Mazda passenger bus. One of our correspondents gathered on Monday that the accident, which happened on Sunday, also claimed the lives of two siblings, who were returning to their school.
Eyewitnesses said the accident was caused by a burst tyre suffered by the Mazda bus. It was learnt that the bus was speeding when the tyre burst, making the driver to lose control, while the bus eventually collided with the Sienna going towards Osogbo.
The bus reportedly caught fire after colliding with the Sienna. Seven persons, including the couple and the siblings, were reportedly burnt to death.
No fewer than 11 passengers were also said to have suffered injuries in the crash.
One of the eyewitnesses, who identified himself simply as Femi, said, “ The accident was caused by the driver of the Mazda bus because he lost the control of the bus when the front tyre burst. He collided with a Toyota Sienna that was coming towards Osogbo.
“The driver of the Sienna and his wife died on the spot, while five passengers in the bus were burnt beyond recognition. Two children of the same parent were also said to be among those burnt to death in the bus.
“We could not help them immediately because of the fire. It was a gory sight.”
Another eyewitness told one of our correspondents that those injured would have been burnt to death, but for other motorists, who brought  them out of the vehicle before the fire engulfed it.
The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Osun State Command, Mr. Umar Ibrahim, told one of our correspondents that those injured in the crash were taken to the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital, Ile Ife.
Ibrahim appealed to motorists to always ensure that their vehicles and the tyres were in good condition before embarking on any journey.
In the Oyo State incident, four pupils of the Federal Government Girls College, Oyo, and a driver were crushed to death by a truck a few kilometres to the school gate on Sunday.
Five other pupils were said to have been injured in the accident and had been admitted in some hospitals in the town.
The deceased pupils – John Olubukola, SS3; Giwa Taibat SS3; Ladipo Mojisola, SS1; and Ibirogba Mariam JSS 3 – and those injured were reportedly returning to the school after observing the mid-term break.
The college’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Akin Omitade, told PUNCH Metro that the accident occurred near a market when an overloaded truck carrying bags of foodstuffs lost its balance while trying to negotiate a narrow bend in the busy market.
It was gathered that in the process, the truck fell on a mini-bus conveying the pupils to their school, killing four of them and the driver of the bus.
The school PRO also attributed the accident to the poor state of the road.
He said, “The students were returning to school from the mid-term break. They were already in Oyo town and boarded the mini-bus at the garage ahead of the 6pm resumption deadline.
“But the accident occurred when a truck carrying bags of garri lost its balance and fell sideways, spilling its content on the mini-bus conveying the pupils.
“The driver and four pupils died immediately, while five other pupils who managed to escape were seriously injured.
“Our appeal is for the government to quickly help us repair that narrow part of the road. We also want to call on the market and community leaders to ensure that traders are not allowed to display their wares by the roadside as that often compounds the traffic situation on the dilapidated road.”
When PUNCH Metro visited the school, it was noted that academic activities had been suspended because of the large number of parents, members of the community and other sympathisers who paid condolence visit to the school.
The market was also shut in “honour of the deceased.”

Tuesday daily devotional by Pastor E. A. Adeboye (Open Heavens 1 November 2016) – Grieve not the Holy Spirit

Topic: Grieve not the Holy Spirit [Tuesday 1, November 2016]

Memorise: And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.Ephesians 4:30

Read: Matthew 12:24-31 (KJV)

24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.

28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Bible in One Year: Revelation 1:1-3:13, Psalms 91

MESSAGE:

There are many Christians living in frustration and defeat because they have set themselves against the flow of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the key to the outpouring of revival and every endeavour in this new dispensation. The Holy Spirit is the secret behind every supernatural occurrence. Do you desire to know the plan of God for your tomorrow? Get the Holy Spirit. Do you want to live a successful Christian life? Get the Holy Spirit. Without the power of the Holy Spirit, you will live a life of continuous defeat. As helpful as the Holy Spirit is, one should be careful in relating with Him. Ananias and Saphirra lied to Peter about how much they sold their land. They felt they were deceiving Peter, unfortunately, it was too late for them to realise that they had grieved the Holy Spirit. Whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

There are numerous ways by which people grieve the Holy Spirit. The moment a person begins to rebel against the instructions in God’s Word, such a fellow is asking for trouble from the Holy Spirit. At several points in the life of the children of Israel, they murmured against God. They were never satisfied with His provision. Psalms 78:40 says:

“How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert!”

They grieved God for forty years in the wilderness. Their hearts were hardened and they refused to acknowledge the ways of God. As a result of this attitude, they were not allowed to enter into the rest of the Lord. May this not be your portion in Jesus’ name.

Another way people can grieve the Holy Spirit is when they despise the truth of God’s Word. The apostle, in 1 Thessalonians 5:19 said that the church must not quench the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit can be grieved when disciples begin to disobey God. Believers today should do everything possible to pattern their lives after the beliefs and practices that were maintained by the disciples of the early church. There should be no room for bitterness or evil feelings towards one another. There are some people who make deliberate attempts to deceive their leaders. Some try to act very cleverly. Some Christians still see themselves as being smart because their sins have not yet been found out. All these people are only waiting for the judgement of God unless they repent. Do not do anything that will make you an enemy to the Holy Spirit. Do not make yourself a stumbling block to the progress of others around you. Don’t have the ‘pull it down’ mind-set. Don’t scatter the good works others have done simply because you are in a position of influence. All those who do these will see the anger of God.

The Holy Spirit must not be grieved. He is always working hard against sinners. You have to allow the Holy Spirit to breathe on you with the breath of God so that your life can be filled anew. When your life is filled anew, you will find it easy to love what He loves.

Prayer Point: Father, help me not to grieve your Holy Spirit.

It started from a Church and now they are joined for LIFE! - Afolabi and Opeyemi's true love story captured in graphics

We are super excited about this week's True love story, yup, it is a unique feature of  young couple, Afolabi and Opeyemi's love story in graphics captured by top Lagos photographer, Ogheneworo Akara.

And so Afolabi met Opeyemi, a sister in church and started by talking to her quietly as a gentle brother. Sharing Gods words and encouraging her in the faith. Ah, but brother Afolabi had other plans. You will soon see those plans manifest.

Welcome to the blog post of Afolabi and Opeyemi’s pre wedding session.

He drew in sister Ope who wanted to know more that this brother had to share and give.

At that precise and perfect moment when Brother Afolabi knew things had changed in his favour he dropped the bomb shell.
Brother Afolabi: Sister Ope, There is something weighing heavily on my mind that i have to tell you.
Sister Ope: O, Brother Afolabi, What is it? Talk to me ( she said with concern)
Brother Afolabi: The lord seems to be laying something heavy in my heart concerning you and I have prayed about it. I have asked my friend to help me fast and pray and I am confident what i am about to tell you is the will of God.
Sister Ope: Okay……What is this will of God you want to share with me… ( now a little cautious).
Brother Afolabi: Sister Ope, I have known you a while now. We have shared a lot together, prayed earnestly and encouraged ourselves in the lord. I do not think it is for a season that we have become this close. A little concerned about that, I went to the Lord in prayer to seek his face and he spoke to me Sister Ope, He spoke to me concerning you. He said you are my wife.
:……………..And the picture below describes the look on her face at that moment………..
Sister Ope: hmmmmmmmm. Okay! The Lord spoke to you about me. Alright!!! I will talk to him as well. You can even join me so we can talk to him together and hear him speak to both of us at the same time.
And so these two took it upon themselves to pray earnestly in the presence of the Lord. Holding hands and joining their faith together, they sought the face of God, asking him to show them his will concerning them both.

And when the peace that passeth all understanding rested on them  both, they knew immediately their path was together, forever.
Brother Afolabi: Did I not tell you I heard?
Sister Ope: Once has he spoken, twice have I heard, she quoted.

Looking at him she said, so we are stuck together forever. Oya! Lets do this.
And when the relationship between these two took off,  it swept them both off their feet.
Afolabi was so in love with Ope, it called to her heart and she reciprocated in like fashion.

And somehow she knew she had found happiness in this man. Afolabi did not rest on his oars, he continually beat for her the drums of love, calling out her heart to flutter to its rythm, ignoring everyone around and concentrating on this that he had found.

And Ope danced along with the flow, enjoying every sound that she heard from those drums.
Very soon, they were locked together in all they did. Everyone who knew Afolabi knew Ope and vice versa.  And from the way they both were glowing, it was clear to all that they had been lit by the light of Love.

Ope and Afolabi were just not not dating to get married. They were friends for life and it shone through everything they did.

And when they quarrelled it was fun to watch.  Ope was clear about laying her laws down and Afolabi, Afolabi understood her so well, fighting was a breeze.  For it didn’t last for long. They settled faster than they started.

When Afolabi put the ring on it, it was a moment of triumph for both of them. These two were smitten by each the other.

So smitten that Ope offered to return him mumu button, he refused!!

Keep it he said. If you do not have it, who else will?
It was at that point that Ope knew this is home. I have no other. Here I make my bed, Here i lie down.

And they started working at their lives together. Making plans for their future.  And Afolabi made it fun with his playfulness and his mischiefs.  Looking at this two you could they were special. Nothing else mattered when they were together. Work was a smooth sail.

Now, All work done, these two have taken flight on a journey to forever with Afolabi capably piloting affairs on this plane and Ope co piloting.

I was there, I saw these two and I can confidently say even when the sun of their lives set, these two will be joined in love.

So if you want something like what you have just witnessed, call me up on 08025019121  or email me at info@ogheneworoakara.com and we will do justice to your love story in graphics.
