Tony Okiemute, a 25-year-old woman has abandoned her one-month-old baby in St. George’s Specialist Clinic and Maternity over her inability to pay for her N125,000, medical bills in Warri, Delta State, DAILY POST reports.
Administrative Manager of St. George’s Specialist Clinic & Maternity, Sunny Ebone made this known while taking the baby girl to the police “B” Division in Warri to get police extract.
He revealed that Okiemute delivered a set of twin, a boy and a girl on October 5 through cesarean operation when she was rushed on emergency to the hospital. He also noted that the woman lost the baby boy while the girl survived.
The manager claimed that the woman abandoned the baby while pretending that she was going to purchase pap (Akamu). He said she absconded since October 15 when she visited the hospital for further treatments.
He noted that all efforts to trace the woman who claimed to be a resident of Ekakoto Street in Orhunwhorhun Community in Udu LGA, were unsuccessful.
