The house took this decision following a motion on matters of urgent public importance sponsored by Emmanuel Oker-Jev.
The lawmaker noted that though the said taxes have authorised by the national assembly, some said individuals are using fake court documents to lock up premises of defaulters.
"This Act portends an affront on the FCT inland revenue service Act and Tax laws of the federation and is aimed at defrauding the unsuspecting members of the public in these days of recession," he said.
"The agency empowered by the law to collect taxes and rates in the FCT has not been setup, thus allowing all manner of individuals or groups to hit the streets of Abuja brandishing all manner of receipts and collecting all sorts of money from unsuspecting innocent, law abiding citizens."
The house also urged FCT resident to stop forthwith, payment of such taxes.
The house further mandated its committee on FCT to find out why the FCT inland revenue service board is yet to take off despite past resolutions of the house.
The house adopted the motion after it was put to a voice vote by Yakubu Dogara.
